Meet Hoss

Howdy! I’m Hoss—a General Class ham radio operator who believes almost any problem can be solved with a little ingenuity… or a bigger antenna.

I was born and raised in the hills of West Virginia but now call Pennsylvania home, where I’ve somehow convinced my amazing wife to put up with me for 43 years. Together we’ve raised 2 great kids, spoiled 4 grandkids, and continue to negotiate daily peace treaties with our incredibly stubborn English Bulldog, who clearly thinks she owns the place.

When I’m not BSing on the radio, you’ll probably find me tinkering with something, telling stories, Playing music, or proving that you can take the boy out of West Virginia—but you can’t take West Virginia out of the boy.
